USA President Joe Biden, who once had served as a Senator with Feinstein for around 15 years, paid his tribute and honored Former Senator Dianne Feinstein.

President said that he “had a front row seat to what Dianne was able to accomplish. It’s why I recruited her to serve on the Judiciary Committee when I was Chairman – I knew what she was made of, and I wanted her on our team. There’s no better example of her skillful legislating and sheer force of will than when she turned passion into purpose, and led the fight to ban assault weapons”.

President further stated “Dianne made her mark on everything from national security to the environment to protecting civil liberties. She’s made history in so many ways, and our country will benefit from her legacy for generations.

President continued saying “Dianne made her mark on everything from national security to the environment to protecting civil liberties. She’s made history in so many ways, and our country will benefit from her legacy for generations. Dianne was tough, sharp, always prepared, and never pulled a punch, but she was also a kind and loyal friend, and that’s what Jill and I will miss the most.

President concluded “As we mourn with her daughter Katherine and the Feinstein family, her team in the Senate, and the people of California, we take comfort that Dianne is reunited again with her beloved Richard. May God Bless Dianne Feinstein.”

In honor of Senator Dianne Feinstein, President ordered United States flag to be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, on the day of interment.

President also commanded the flag to be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.

Gavin Newsom tribute

Gavin Newsom, Governor of California, said “Dianne Feinstein was many things – a powerful, trailblazing U.S. Senator; an early voice for gun control; a leader in times of tragedy and chaos. But to me, she was a dear friend, a lifelong mentor, and a role model not only for me, but to my wife and daughters for what a powerful, effective leader looks like.

Gavin Newsom : Governor of California

Newsom added “She was a political giant, whose tenacity was matched by her grace. She broke down barriers and glass ceilings, but never lost her belief in the spirit of political cooperation. And she was a fighter — for the city, the state and the country she loved. Every race she won, she made history, but her story wasn’t just about being the first woman in a particular political office, it was what she did for California, and for America, with that power once she earned it. That’s what she should be remembered for.

Newsom further stated “There is simply nobody who possessed the strength, gravitas, and fierceness of Dianne Feinstein. Jennifer and I are deeply saddened by her passing, and we will mourn with her family in this difficult time.”

In honor of Senator Feinstein, Governor commanded the state flags to be flown at half-staff.

“The First” Woman

Dianne Feinstein served as the first woman president to San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 1978. Unstoppable Dianne Feinstein

Dianne Feinstein was the epitome of “Unstoppable”. She had indubitably put an indelible mark in the history. Upon the time of her passing, she was the oldest sitting U.S. senator and Congress member. The legendary Feinstein was also the longest-serving U.S. senator from California, the female senator serving for a very long tenure in history, and the senior Democratic member of the Senate.

Well after serving the country for such a long period of time, Feinstein, in February2023, declared her intent to retire upon the completion of her term and that she doesn’t look forward to pursue reelection in 2024.

Dianne Feinstein – Titan of US political history

Dianne has been titled as “a Titan of US political history” who endlessly served to the country and is celebrated for her innumerable impactful legislative accomplishments and achievements.

Dianne Feinstein, The famous Mayor, became the pivotal wheel that helped winning the federal funding for the rebuilding of the San Francisco cable car system. The system had shut-down for the reconstruction in 1982 and was completely ready for the 1984 Democratic National Convention.

Feinstein worked dedicatedly and consistently over gun control advocacy and had also introduced bills for the same. She became the determined driving force for the successful passage of the federal assault weapons ban in 1994, which unfortunately expired in 2004.

Feinstein’s commitment towards her work was unwavering and an inspiration to generations.

Feinstein thoroughly investigated “the Central Intelligence Agency’s program of detention and interrogation” after the brutal 9/11 attacks fighting against the irrelevant Torture(“Enhanced interrogation”). As the Senate Intelligence Committee chair, Feinstein released a report of 6700 pages on the CIA’s interrogation methods after the 9/11 attacks. Five years of firm diligence, the report was published. Feinstein described the detention and interrogation program as a “stain on our values and on our history”.

Feinstein contributed her efforts for the preservation of the climate and was devoted to public lands conservation all through her career.

In August 2017, Feinstein wrote “We now know that such a closed process on a major issue like health care doesn’t work. The only path forward is a transparent process that allows every senator to bring their ideas to the table.” She worked with complete attention for the affordability of healthcare and hence fully supported the Affordable Care Act. She persistently voted to beat the initiatives intended against the Act.

Dianne Feinstein was a gem of a person whose legacy will continue to live not just in the rich history but also in the hearts of people of many generations.

Michael Gambon as “Professor Dumbledore” in “Harry Potter” film series

Michael Gambon was universally very well- known for his character “Professor Albus Dumbledore – The Hogwarts Headmaster” in Harry Potter film series. Gambon on “Harry Potter” once said “There’s no subtext in ‘Harry Potter,’ really; it’s all magic – anything can happen. Why do I say this? Because it’s a magic spell. It’s quite nice in a way. There is a real freedom to it. Doesn’t say much for acting, does it?”

He spoke about his character “Dumbledore” and said “I’ve played quite a lot of crooks and killers, and that’s quite interesting. Then Dumbledore is the complete opposite, isn’t he? He’s a nice old man”.He added later “Maybe that is why kids like Dumbledore: because he is funny rather than a miserable old sod with a long white beard”. Well we definitely will always be in love with this funny nice old man with long white beard.

He loved his job, but never seemed defined by it.”

Emma Watson stated on social media “Truly and utterly heartbreaking, I’m so glad he always knew how loved and appreciated he was by everybody. Rest in peace”.

She further shared “there was nothing like him. He could do anything”.

Jason Isaacs quoted on social media: “I learned what acting could be from Michael in The Singing Detective – complex, vulnerable and utterly human. The greatest thrill of being in the Potter films was that he knew my name and shared his fearless, filthy sense of fun with me”.

The West End Theatres will dim the lights in honor of the great Sir Michael Gambon as announced by The Society of London Theatre.

Theatre had a deep rooted special place in Michael’s heart. Michael once said “The theatre starts every night at half past seven, and I like the rhythm of going to the theatre, parking the car, going to the stage door; I’ve grown up with all of that. I’d love to do more theatre – I mean, I shouldn’t be telling the world that I can’t remember lines any more, but I find it more and more difficult, so I don’t know.”

Michael debuted with the film Othello in 1965 and has appeared in many other such productions based on masterpieces by William Shakespeare such as Hamlet, Macbeth, and Coriolanus. Michael made his mark on the The Irish Times’ list of Ireland’s greatest film actors honoring at 27th position.

JK Rowling paid his tribute adding “Michael was a wonderful man in additional to being an outstanding actor, and I absolutely loved working with him, not only on Potter but also The Casual Vacancy.”
